Trail Watch Volunteers

Be Our Eyes and Ears on the Trails!

Trail Watchers walk the trails on a regular basis and report any problems, like downed trees, vandalism, or the like so that repairs can be made as soon as possible.

Trail Watchers report on items that need action such as large tree downed across trail; bridge handrail broken; vandalism or vandals observed; unsettling behavior observed; etc.

A Trail Watcher can describe the situation and the location and mark the location on the trail map provided.

Trail Watchers also make nature observations reporting sightings of birds, animals and plants.

Trail Watchers report forms are available in the Nature Center – open Fridays noon to 4 p.m. –or by contacting the naturalist. Or by downloading the form below. Trail Watchers can report their observations using the forms, by leaving a message on the Nature Center phone 708-747-6320 or by emailing the Nature Center at thorn_creek@att.net.

Remember: If a dangerous situation occurs, like a fire, vandals, or unsettling behavior, etc., always call 911 and Park Forest Police will respond.
